Puerto Rico marina situated on the south west coast of the island, in the municipality of Mogan, and is chiefly a tourist resort and offers visiting yachts a safe haven and all the facilities you would expect from a large marina. In effect Puerto Rico is two harbours with visitors and larger yachts using the eastern marina and local, small and tourist craft using the western harbour. The western harbour is also the location of the main beach which has a Blue Flag status. The town is easily spotted from off shore by all the white apartments and hotels that line the hillsides. The town lies in a three sided bowl sheltered from the prevailing northerly winds and providing a temperate to tropical climate all year round.

As you would expect with a tourist town there is a wide choice of good restaurants and bars, and plenty to entertain the tourists and visiting yachtsmen alike. There are also yacht safaris and several whale watching boats. A regular ferry service runs betweenthe marinas of Puerto Mogan, Puerto Rico, Anfi del Mar and Arguineguin during the day. Yacht charter can be found in the marina and chartering a yacht to sail around the island is a popular holiday.
